Jesus
is truly human and truly divine. As a human being he faced temptations,
rejections, persecutions and even death. Yes death on the cross. This Jesus
this human person was truly human with a humane heart. He fed the people, he
healed the sick, he cleansed the lepers, and he gave sight to the blind, he cast
out demons and even raised people to live. But what was his reward for his love
and care, for his kindness and generosity, for his healing and his forgiveness
and for giving himself totally for us through the Eucharist?
We betrayed him, We rejected him, We spat, we yell, We find
faults in whatever he did, We condemned him, We persecuted him, We scourged
him, We made him wear the crown of thorns, We shouted crucify him, crucify him
and we crucified him like a criminal on the cross.
Are
we not ashamed doing this to the life giver, who loves and cares for us unconditionally?

When we transform
ourselves, suffering will turn into joy and death into new resurrected life. No
stones can deter our spirit from being good and from doing good. Easter is a season of love. Let us show our
true love to God, nature and humanity. Easter will be a meaningful Easter only
when we transform ourselves.
May this Easter be and transforming
one for you. Happy Easter.
