Mawkyrwat, October 02, 2021: The office of the District Legal Services Authority, Mawkyrwat today organised a Pan India Awareness and Outreach programme as a part of the Azadi ki Amrut Mahotsav from the 2nd October, 2021 to 14th November, 2021, the District Legal Services Authority, South West Khasi Hills District on the morning of the 2nd October, 2021 organized “Prabhat Pheris” (early morning rounds) in and around the premises of The District & Sessions Court, Mawkyrwat where Legal Awareness Placards were displayed.

K. V. Kharlyngdoh, President of the Mawkyrwat Bar Association gathered in the
Court premises with legal awareness placards on Fundamental duties, Rights of
the Citizens, Right to free legal services, etc.
It was
impressed in the gathering that Gandhi Jayanti is an event celebrated in India
to mark the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. A
pioneer of India’s Independent Movement whose non-violence movement helped
India gain Independence in 1947.
