Leadership

Leadership

Successful leadership calls for the highest qualities of head and hearts. Leadership is a personal quality reciprocated in relationship with the followers. William Shakespeare said, “Some are born great, some are made great, some attain greatness”. Leadership is a skill in which each and every person is gifted with birth. All of us are leaders in one way or the other. We may be leader in our own family, school, community, state or country. Few leadership skills are inborn in us but majority of the leadership skills has to be developed by us. I would say most of the leaders are not born leader but they are made or formed leaders. No one can become a great leader or obtain leadership skills without training oneself to become a leader. All of us are born to be leaders therefore it is necessary that we developed our leadership skills. Leadership is a quality that requires love, sacrifice, forgiveness, initiative, discipline, time management, followers, and long for justice peace and equality. St. Iraneaus opined leadership as, “Glory of God lies in man and woman becoming fully human, fully alive.” Leadership is a quality that comes from within.
