Seating capacity and fares reverted back to pre-covid situation at SWKHD

 Mawkyrwat, February 02, 2021: The office of the Deputy Commissioner, South West Khasi Hills District, Mawkyrwat issued this order in compliance to the notification issued by the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Transport Department  issued on 25/01/2021 and in partial modification of the office Order issued on 04/05/2020 which stated that the seating capacity prescribe for travel by buses, sumos and maxi cabs, local taxis, auto rickshaws and two wheelers is now reverted back to the original seating capacity as per Motor Vehicle Act for all categories of vehicles subject to strict compliance for Covid protocols. The fares for different categories of vehicles shall also stand reverted back to the fares notified prior to Covid with immediate effect.
