Revised restrictions on permitted activities at SWKHD

Mawkyrwat, April 22, 2021: Due to a surge in COVID-19 positive cases across the country and in compliance to Government Order dated 16-04-2021 from the Chief Secretary, Government of Meghalaya, the revised restrictions on permitted activities includes Registration in the Meghalaya COVID-19 portal http://meghalayaonline. gov.in/covid/login.htm is mandatory for all persons entering the State including residents. Maximum number of persons allowed during any Religious / Social / Private gatherings is decreased to  50 persons or one-third the capacity; whichever is less for indoors and 100 persons or one-third the capacity; whichever is less for outdoors. The concerned parties shall obtain prior permission from the Deputy Commissioner, South West Khasi Hills District, Mawkyrwat.

Moreover, the order also mentioned that movement of persons above 65 years of age. persons with co-morbidities. pregnant women and children below 10 years is prohibited in public places/private gatherings except for essential requirements and medical reasons. For outdoor sports, spectators are permitted up to 100 persons or one-third the capacity: whichever is less. Places of worship may continue to function at 50 % of the seating capacity. However, they shall strictly adhere to the COVID-19 protocols. No movement in public places without wearing a Mask will be permitted and fines of Rs. 1000/- will be imposed for those not wearing mask.
