of “Shri. Bralin Marwein” from Mawbidong Village declared as a “Containment
Area”
Mawkyrwat, June 15, 2021:
The office of the Deputy Commissioner, South West Khasi Hills Mawkyrwat in
exercise of powers conferred under section 2, 3 & 4 of the Epidemic Disease
Act, 1897 which has constitute the Meghalaya Epidemic Disease COVID-19
Regulations, 2020 and Amendments thereof for containment of outbreak of
COVID-19 issued an order that after detection of positive cases/high risk
contacts in specific identified at “Mawbidong Village” due to recent
high risk and low risk contact with the COVID-19 positive cases, vulnerable and
affected areas required aggressive contact tracing, quarantined, testing and
isolation as well as containment in the interest of Health of general public
against any possible spread of COVID-19.
Therefore, the office found it is
necessary to declare the house and compound of “Shri. Bralin Marwein” as
a “Containment Area” so as to restrict unregulated entry and exit
movement on site with measures for due compliance by the public until further
orders which include that no person/public shall be allowed to move into the
containment area and inhabitants within the Containment area shall not move
out. All the inhabitants within the containment area shall strictly remain
inside their Home. No gatherings, events, functions whatsoever of any nature
and forms shall be allowed. No Social, Political, Religious, Economic
activities are allowed. The Incident, Zone - IX, Shri. O. Mawthoh, IPO, DCIC, Zonal
Magistrate shall be the Supervising Officer and monitor strict compliance of
the order. This Order will not apply to health workers and essential
commodities, Press including Electronic & Print Media, Petrol pumps and LPG
delivery workforce. All SOPs with regards to the prevention of spread of
COVID-19 to be adhered to and if there is any violation of this order they
shall entail prosecution under the penal provision of Disaster Management Act,
2005 and I.P.C. In view of the urgency
of the matter, this Order has been made ex parte.
